In the past we have 'maximized' a players points for week1; ;but this year we have a few days for everyone to submit a starting lineup so please do so under this post. If you forget who you drafted, or why you have so many 3rd liners on your team you can get reminded at the
"get wet 2010" link on the right. Please ensure you check your team over. For the newbies - you need 6 Forwards and 4 Defense in your lineup and one of them needs to be a rookie. So don't be so grumpy and enjoy your roll as a GM. For a good laugh check out
Iffy's old post, maybe you can find your own inner GM.

Unbelievable. After all these exhibition games and still tied for first. I have a good feeling about this year, especially with Kaptain Kanada leading the charge!!!
My starting line up is as follows:
Weiss
Stastny
Toews
Krejci
Doan
Stewart
McBain Drok
Doughty
Weber
Kaptain Kanada Phaneuf
Okay let the shit show begin!
Sedin
Richards
Kopitar
Roy
Wolski
Brunette
Muzzin (drok)
Goligoski
Karlsson
Robidas
And could you also replace Ellis, D (TB goalie) with Ellis, Ryan (Nashville drok). That should put me under the cap. =)
Burrows out
Yip out
Campbell out
Benn in
Oshie in
Pitkanen in
I can't believe that any prediction would show that Timmy is going to win this year .......but hold on, he didn't really pick his team this year.... so he has a chance!
Oh well.... I'll give it a shot..here are my first weeks team:
Crosby
Stamkos
Semin
Knuble
Pavelski
Eller
Letang
Lidstrom
Wideman
Del Zotto
Good Luck all!
Cap Issue Resolved:
I looked up the cap geek info tonight and spotted a way for me to get under the cap.
As of Saturday night, my potential cap hit was 44, 675, 000. However, based on cap geek tonight, my actual cap is 47379995--a couple of my guy's salaries were estimated to be substantially lower than the actual given salary...or I was so drunk that I stopped reading where the decimal place was placed in the salary amount. At any rate, the best way for me to get under the cap is to buy out Timmo Selanne's 4.5 M contract and take a 500,000 cap hit for the rest of the season. Doing so brings my cap to 43379995. It sucks, but I like my defensemen and I think that Selanne has shown to be injury prone in the twilight of his career.
So, that is what I will do in order to be compliant.
Now For My Line-Up:
(6) Forwards:
Paajarvi, M (Frok)
Iginla, J
Cammalleri, M
Ponikarovsky, A
Alfredsson, D
Prospal, V
(4) Defencemen:
Chara, Z
White, I
Seabrook, B
MacDonald, A...Unless Brodie, T (CGY) is brought in to replace Pardy, A (CGY) injury, in which case Brodie, T would be my fourth d-man
S. Pike
Starters
Gaborik
Parise
Frolik
Kessel
Kane
Comire
OEL (drok)
Hedman
Visnovsky
Ehrhoff
Given the inspiration caused by drafting Duncan Keith, Homer will be sporting the feathered look this year so in honour of the new look the first player in my line-up is:
Duncan Keith
Marik Zidlicky
Matt Carle
Carlo Coliacovo
Ilya Kovalchuk
Jussi Jokinen
Thomas Plekanic
Antoine Vermette
Wayne Simmonds
Tyler Ennis (rf)
...And there off!
Thanks for hosting the Draft Bill. Thanks for setting up the officepools Barry.
The winning line-up is:
Getzlaf
Datsyuk
Hudler
Zajac
Little
Ribeiro
Green
Boyle
Demers
Fowler (rookie)
Well it looks like T.J. Brodie (Cgy) will make the team, based on the latest AHL send-downs.
As for my cap issue, after receiving the final cap numbers from Greg O, I will buy out Prospal, V.--the bastard is injured already anyway. Yes, that is my final answer, I don't need to call a friend, check with the audience, et cetera.
My starting line up is:
Paajavri, M (Frok)
Iginla, J
Cammalleri, M
Ponikarovsky, A
Alfredsson, D
Modano, M
Chara, Z
White, I
Seabrook, B
Brodie, T.J. (Drok)
Best d-corps here...no, not really, but it is pretty damn good.
I am always open for reasonable trades. Here is my week 1 lineup
Backlund
Sharp
Bogosian
Hemsky
Foster
Martin
Bouwmeester
Jokinen
Raymond
Hornqvist
Rebels, you need a trade to your roster; no rookie in the starters yet!
Creepy - Don't make me race you to the 'disable administrator' button.
According to my math, Backlund is a rookie. 1 game in 08-09 and 23 games in 09-10. He is only 21.
your correct sir
Well, here is to improving on my last place finish last year. Bring it on Bitches!!!
Seguin - FROK
Horton - F
Koivu - F
Richards - F
Staal - F
Van Riemsdyk - F
Edler - D
Yandle - D
Johnson - D
Kubina - D
Leave it to the new guy to cause controversy on his very first line up, way to go Rebels Fan.
On further review of my squad...yikes. Not sure if the answer on Saturday would have been more beer or less beer.
My lineup:
Gagner, S
Kesler, R
Versteeg, K
Marleau, P
Antropov, N
Havlat, M
Kronwall, N
McCabe, B
Burns, B
Stoner, C (drok)
Good luck guys.
Might as well start the season off with a blockbuster, no?
Stadnicky trades Bergfors, at a salary of $0.9M and predicted point total of 76 pts
Kernel trades Yip, at a salary of $0.7M and predicted point total of 22 pts.
Boo, Kernel for future reference when a GM is in trouble you make him pay; you could have asked for twice that value!
Mark, more beer next time.
I promise not to be this difficult all season long. Please take Modano, M out of my line up and replace him with Selanne, T.
Sorry
S.Pike
Brad - Please post the trade in it's own post, per normal.
Laird - Don't worry about it.
Barry: I can't complain he picked my team! Oh wait that is the reason to complain.
Read it and weep:
Ovechkin
St. Louis
Eriksson
Mueller
Bourque
Couture (R)
Gonchar
Enstrom
Liles
Stralman
Should be a good year.
GOFLAMES!
One change for me. Hunwick in for Russell.
Thanks Barry
Everything looks good as is in officepools.
