European Vacation

The Beer Leaguer embarks on a scouting mission to Europe this Sunday. It's a whirlwind tour of 31 countries in 21 days.

Perhaps Tim is moonlighting as an Oiler's scout. I love this line:

This is Bill Quist. Kenta Nilsson "saw him good" as he played ball hockey
between two grey Saabs behind his house one afternoon, so the Oilers nabbed
him.

Anyways, Tim is currently contemplating whether he should get up on Saturday at 5:00 am to participate online in our Friday Sept 28 9:00 pm hockey draft. (I'm offering to have the Calgary get-together at my place. Email me if you need the address.) I think he's hoping his picks will improve by not getting involved. I'm hoping that you can all leave some comments for Tim, to appeal to his sense of responsibility to Superdraft2007.

If not, we may have to steal a concept from Chevy Chase:

Rob Schremp kids, Jason Allison.

Eric Lindros kids, Mike Rajthe.

Tim Connolly kids, Fernando Pisani.

(You get the picture).

Here's hoping that we'll at least get weekly scouting reports of the Beer Leaguer's adventure.

Tim, its like xmass; draft day only comes around once a year. You can't possibly want IFFY to pick your team from a 'list'. If you win (not likely) but if you do....iffy would never let you forget it.

See you on draft day (online)
