Things look good to expand this year. I think we have a couple of dudes interested in joining. Will have confirmation soon, hopefully. Last time we expanded we had the new guys pick in the middle of each round, and instead of having holdovers, they had extra picks in rounds 1, 2, 5, 9, and 10. The extra picks will be inserted into the snake draft as if the new manager had won 1st place in the previous season.
As for the salary cap. The chart below shows the history of our cap vs the NHL's. When we expanded last time, we found that all of the high priced players were taken, which was an indication that the cap was too high. As such, I'd like to propose that we stay at 90% of NHL if we have 12 teams, 85% if we have 13 teams, and 80% if we have 14 teams.

I too would like to get additonal picks in rounds 1,2,5, 9 and 10. Even a single pick in the first round would be appreciated. Please point me in the direction of the Commisioner's comment box....
