Housekeeping

Vacuuming

The "Weekly Update XLS" file on the Superdraft Resources page has been updated. It now contains up-to-date information about your team, including all roster moves, trades, free-agent pick-ups you have made, and your salary cap status. Also included is the financial aspect of the hockey pool. Please review and let me know if anything is out of whack for your team.

I hope that everyone understands the capology component. By having access to the spreadsheet, you can test to see if proposed trades will work for you. You need to watch cell P51 for any of your proposed moves. If it goes negative (and changes colour), your proposed trade will not be allowed. In essence, you have $47.5M to spend throughout the year and at no point in the year can your current roster salary project out to overspend the cap. Please let me know if this is unclear.

Laundry

The 1st free agent draft was a couple of weeks ago. With a bunch of people spending their dirty oil money on extravagant vacations, we were unable to do it in a live draft format. Unfortunately, a few people missed the deadline of Saturday night to make their selections. We attempted to extend the deadline to Monday afternoon and to only allow GMs to pick up guys that hadn't already been picked, but not everyone was able to take advantage of the extension.

This is where I kind of apologize. The details of the draft didn't come out on the blog until early in the week. Some people are still not practicing Iffy's 1st Habit of Highly Distractable People, making the blog a daily stop, so they missed the details.

This is where I kind of don't apologize. The blog is the one-stop-shop for everything Superdraft related. The dates for the free agent draft are written in the Rules and posted on the Resources page. Your homework is to go read the rules and get the date for the next FA draft tatooed on your forehead or wherever else you are most likely to see it. Specific details for the next FA draft will be posted on the blog at some time in the future.

Email is not intended to be used for regular communication. It is used for passing confidential information like one-sided trade offers, top-secret pick lists, tax-shelter strategies, and email addresses.

Tidying

I have added another link in the links section. It is labeled as Shift Charts or something. If you want to find out how much head to head ice-time Igor Grigorenkoslavokovic and Banana Hammock Schremp are getting, this isn't the place for you, but there is a lot of pretty valuable information available. It takes a bit of work to find the data, but I think it is worth it.

If anyone has any other cool/useful links that you would like to share, please let me know. I was thinking of getting rid of the current news links and turning it into a rookie watch. It might be kind of fun to watch the news of Toews and Kane get sent down to the minors next week.

Honey-Do List

I would still like to create a summary page on the Weekly Update spreadsheet, that links everything together. I have a bunch of blank columns to the right where I one day plan to enter data for weekly active salary and for tracking forward/defense/bench/squandered points. Maybe during the holidays I'll get it all sorted out and we can look forward to some heavy ANALysis in the New Year.

______

I'm off to clean the shitter.

You spelled "tattooed" incorrectly. Just so you know...
