Trade TIme

FMJ and Stadnicky have completed negotiations on a deal and are now looking for approval:

FMJ trades Gonchar to Stadnicky

Stadnicky trades Pronger and his 2nd round pick to FMJ.

To save me caluclating the math on the cap, we have agreed to continue to pay the salary for the traded player for the remainder of the season. No net chagne to cap avails to each for the rest of the year.

Hoping we can get this confimed before tomorrow's draft. Thx and see you tomorrow

I have a few comments:

1. Stadnicky will pick his 15th player in the last round, after all have picked. This is not a Stadnicky Rule loop-hole.

2. I have checked all of the trades for this season. A few GM's have been a bit silent when it comes to trade approvals, these two included. To request approvals on a 20 hour deadline seems a bit much.

3. Any trade that sees Pronger leaving my Arch-Enemy is a fair trade in my opinion, especially given that he will be back playing tomorrow. Perhaps Stadnicky will trade away Neidermayer on the eve of his return as well?

4. I have instructed Crosby to insist on not sharing ice-time with that freaky Gonchar again. It's simply bad for his career.

5. Seems as if Stadnicky got caught up in Leaguer syndrome. I just need to make a trade. I'll bring the barrel.

6. Selfishly approved by me.

I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning to really look at this trade closely - but given the short timeline I will approve it.
