Can I Drop 6 Guys?

I know this question is going to come up. Free agent draft is tentatively scheduled for November 18. Time & place TBA.

Tim, Bill and I were discussing Superdraft in the carpool this morning. Some of us were under the impression that we must always keep 15 roster spots full. That was not my original intent. The rules were designed so that you had to have 15 on draft day, after that the number of guys on your roster is free to change through trades or drops. The penalty for dropping a player is $5 and a salary cap hit of either $450K or 1/2 the players salary, whichever is higher. Refer to the current rules.

So for the free agent draft, can a GM chose to drop more than 1 player to pick up a superstar?

Also, how does everyone see that FA draft working? My thought is that we start with position number 11. He declares his drop/pick-up and it must work within the salary cap framework. Position number 10 can then pick up anyone who is a free agent, including the guy(s) that number 11 just dropped.

Comments please.

its a one player pickup, a GM should be able to drop as many needed at 5bucks per drop.
