This is a post that I have to make, and I couldn't have found a better picture to start it all off with.
First of all, thanks to Mr. Johnson for hosting the first annual Superdraft 20xx Poker Night / Rules Summit. Second, thanks to everyone who made it out and provided input. Third, thanks to the bastard who put castor oil in my drink. I'm not sure what else might conjure up the response I brought.
Anyhow, my memory fails me a bit about the details of the night, but here is my best recollection. Please post more accurate memories in the comments section.
1. Iffy should have won the poker match but caught a couple of bad breaks at the (Finest) hands of Mr. Gibsons.
2. There will be a free agent draft sometime throughout the season. Each team will be allowed 1 drop and 1 pick up. Cost will be somewhat substantial. Proceeds will be given to the leader at the time of the re-draft.
3. Brad Rule - Everyone must have a full roster on draft day. This matches up with the plan to allow a free agent pick-up part way through. It's kind of a both or none type decision.
4. There will be a cost / salary cap impact to drop a player.
5. There will be no extra opportunities to pick up rookies who actually stayed in the big league if you picked like Tim/Reg.
6. NHLPA salary data will be used.
7. Players who do not play in the NHL (not listed on NHLPA) will be assigned the minimum league salary.
8. There will be no extra points for anything other than goals & assists - same as last year.
9. Holdovers have been explained in a previous post. I'll have to find a better way to say this, but you cannot work together with another GM to re-acquire ineligible hold-overs.
10. We will not be bringing goalies into Superdraft 20xx.
11. Tim Rule - bottom 3 will be put into a lottery for first draft pick. Last place will not necessarily "earn" first draft pick.
Soon I will post the complete set of updated rules for Superdraft 20xx.
P.S. When in doubt, show her your Johnson!

Apparently there is no duty to consult within the superdraft?
Sorry I couldn’t be around to kick all your asses at the big game.
so for 1 ? girly drink
2 whats the def. of a free agent, the cost should be above 10 bucks
3 i don't think this one matters; you take the risk if you want. but if you don't have a full roster after draft day you cant use rule 2.
4 good (4* sal) i.e. 2mill = 8bucks
5 what about 2
6 fine
7 450?
8 good, i hate bingo bango bongo
9 yep
10 goalies are a crap-shoot. (so good)
11 Nice work Tim
The consultation occurred at the poker night. You gotta get a Westjet membership, or move to a real city like Jock just did.
2- free agent is anyone in the NHL, not yet drafted in Superdraft
3- I don't mind that - a choice free agents & fill your team or no free agents & don't fill your team
5- yes this will work .. no extra opportunities
7- yes as far as I know
